Opportunities for Justice in Our Courts and Our Communities: Supreme Court Chief Justices in ConversationFriday, November 9, 2012

EVENT INFORMATION On Friday, November 9, 2012, Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye of the Supreme Court of California and Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald of the Supreme Court of Hawaii spoke in person at Kealakehe High School. IMPORTANT VIDEOS Prior to this event, teachers and students are also encouraged to view two short videos that feature Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye. The first is a Public Service Announcement (PSA), aimed at students, that gives an overview of the upcoming conversation and encourages students to submit questions. The second video includes a question and answer session in which Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye talks about the vital importance of helping students to become civically engaged and offers teachers specific suggestions of what they can do in the classroom to support students on this path. This video is for both teachers and students and will serve as a valuable classroom resource.
